A safe boat trip, in accordance with the official safety protocol.

Measures before the tour

  • Before each tour, the seats and backrests where passengers have been seated, are disinfected. Just like the parts of the boat and the jetty that may have been touched.
  • In case of electronic payment, we prefer contactless. If this would be not possible for you, we offer a cotton swab to enter the pin code.
  • In case of cash payment, you and the cashier will keep a sufficient distance.
  • The jetty is set up in such a way that waiting is guaranteed at a distance of 1.5m.
  • There is a separate embarkation area and disembarkation area with 2 separate stairs so that you do not cross anyone and the social distance is guaranteed.
  • Each passenger has to wear a face mask when embarking the boat.

Measures during the tour

  • The number of seats per boat is limited to 62% of the approved number, as legally stipulated for open tour boats.
  • The distance between the captain and the passengers is always at least 1.5 meters. The front seats of the boats will therefore be not occupied.
  • The guide will see to it that the guidelines are well observed by the participants.

Measures after the tour

  • When disembarking, each passenger disinfects their hands before taking the exit stairs. Disinfectant will be at your disposal.
  • After each tour, the seats and backrests where passengers have been seated, are disinfected. Just like the parts of the boat and the jetty that may have been touched.
  • When disembarking, the guide disinfects his hands.
  • In order to facilitate the contact tracing, the customer will contact De Bootjes van Gent - Rederij Dewaele should it subsequently become apparent that a passenger is infected with the corona virus COVID-19.
